Tasty Tuesday: Zesty Fiesta 7 Layer Dip

A seven layer dip is one of my favorite appetizers to serve any time of the year!  It is a great addition to any Taco Tuesday!  With our Halladay Farm Zesty Fiesta Dip mix, this appetizer is quick, easy and flavorful.  Let us know if you tried it and tag us on Instagram or Facebook.  

Ingredients: 

• 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
• 1 Can of Low Sodium Refried Black Beans
• 1 Tablespoon of Lime Juice
• 1 Tablespoon of Zesty Fiesta Dip and Seasoning Blend
• 1/4 Cup of Chopped Tomatoes
• 1/4 Cup of Diced Red Onions
• 1/4 Cup of Cotija or Cheddar Cheese
• 2 Tablespoons of Diced Pickled Jalapenos
• 2 Table Spoons of Cilantro

How to Make

1. In a skillet, heat olive oil.  
2. Add beans, lime juice and the Zesty Fiesta Seasoning and cook until heated through. 
3. Add the beans to a pie plate or a shallow dish.  
4. Add the tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos together in a bowl and place on top of the beans.
5. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of the fresh veggies and top with cilantro. 

An optional step is to heat the dish in the oven until the cheese is melted for a hot appetizer.  Serve with tortilla chips or even as a filling for your tacos!
