National Junk Food Day!!!

Happy National Junk Food Day!!!!  So it is National Junk Food Day and I have to ask…what your favorite, ultimate, can’t live without junk food?  Now I know that we all have our stand by-products, the ice cream, the candy, the chips…but what do you crave?????  I have to honestly say that while I was home for all the weeks in quarantine I thought I am going to behave and watch everything I eat and I am going to get into my best shape ever.  Well, that lasted an entire 5 minutes.  My daughter and I decided to bake and try new things.  We thought this would be a fantastic way to “be healthy.”  Come to find out, the homemade cookies even though they were oatmeal were not an item that you could just sit and eat every time you went by the jar and neither were the homemade fruit breads such as banana.  It’s not that they are not healthy; it’s that you just can’t eat more than a serving. 

So as I get back to my favorite junk food I would have to say its candy.  It’s an easy go-to any time of day.  There are all different types of it whether it is the chocolate which then that goes into several types or the box candy for the movies that I watched during my several weeks at home or even the little hard wrapped candies in the jar on my desk I do have a lot to choose from.  Maybe it’s time to make better choices.  

I can tell you that won’t happen today though on this wonderful day of days, and that we all can still sit back and celebrate and eat our favorite junk food and not feel bad about it. 

Remember though, after this day, the key to all of it is everything in moderation and that it is okay to enjoy a treat every so often.
