Happy National Hamburger Day!

Hello everyone Happy National Hamburger Day!   We just love the National Day Calendar here at Graceful Designs.  Every time we look at it there is something to celebrate, it's like a party every day!!  Speaking of parties we wanted to share some of hamburger grilling secrets with you about the perfect burger.

First of all, the men here want to share their secrets on what makes the best juicy burger.  We thought we would be polite and let them go first.  Their perfect burger consists of a "Special Blend" which is the following.  They start with a grass feed hamburg that is not already made into patties.  In a bowl they add, the meat, a dash garlic powder,  a dash of seasoning salt, red crushed pepper to spice it up, black pepper, and a splash or two of barbeque sauce.  Once the meat is blended, they create the burgers, but here's their big secret, they indent one side of the burger about a thumb size to prevent it from becoming a ball instead of a burger.  When grilling, grill both sides 4-5 minutes or until the desired temperature.  Serve with a grilled bun that has olive oil on it before going on the grill. 

The girls here have a completely different approach to the best burger.  We start with either ground turkey breast or ground chicken breast.  To that, we add a dash of garlic, salt, and pepper along with some onions and peppers and of course feta cheese.  Yum!  Once the burgers are made, we put mayonnaise on each side of the burger to make sure they don't burn. If your not one that likes mayo, no worries you don't even taste it.  When they are done, they are put on the same kind of grilled bun that the boys use.  We like the brioche ones and we add lettuce and tomato.  

And there you have it.  You can try both and choose for yourself!
